Pretty much every ATINY can agree that 2024 was incredibly successful for ATEEZ. Along with releasing their two latest albums, the K-Pop group performed at multiple historic events, went on a phenomenal leg of their ongoing world tour, and earned the love and respect of not only many new fans internationally, but celebrities as well.
Here’s a look at some of the major achievements that ATEEZ made in the past year, inspired by a Twitter thread by user @yazzsss!
1. Becoming the first K-Pop boy group to perform at Coachella

Perhaps the most well-known accomplishment that ATEEZ had this past year was their performance at Coachella! While a few other K-Pop artists have performed at the massive event before, ATEEZ made history as the first K-Pop boy group to rock the stage. They stole the show for the two weekends that they appeared on the Sahara Stage, bringing in such a huge crowd that the explosive “break the wall” chant could be heard at other stages!
2. Being the first K-Pop group to headline Mawazine

Another historic performance from ATEEZ was their appearance at the Mawazine event in Morocco, becoming the first K-Pop group to headline! Though Wooyoung sadly couldn’t attend due to health concerns, the other seven members brought just as much energy and entertainment in his stead. The crowd of over 100,000 was no doubt blown away by their performance, and we can’t wait to see what other international events ATEEZ might headline in the future!
3. Performing for two nights at the prestigious BMO Stadium in LA

While there was initially only one night planned at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for the North American leg of ATEEZ’s Towards the Light: Will to Power tour, the 22,000-person capacity arena sold out so quickly that they added on an additional night! The second night had a capacity of nearly 90%, bringing in over 40,000 fans in just that stop alone.
4. Performing at Summersonic Japan

This summer was a busy one for ATEEZ, and we genuinely have no idea how they prepared for Golden Hour : Part.2 during the months leading up to its release! Summersonic is one of the biggest urban music festivals in Japan, with a capacity of around 35,000 people. The K-Pop group’s popularity in Japan is no joke, as evidenced by how many people attended both days in Osaka and Tokyo!
5. Holding the 4th-highest grossing K-Pop tour of the year

With only 13 stops in the North American leg of their tour, ATEEZ brought in a whopping $37.5 million USD from their shows. This makes them the K-Pop artist with the fourth-highest grossing tour from 2024, and not only that, but each stop brought in around $2.89 million USD each, which is more per show than nearly every other artist in the top 10!
6. Becoming the first fourth-generation K-Pop boy group to perform at and sell out Citi Field

And their tour accomplishments continue! ATEEZ’s performance at NYC’s Citi Field earned them the title of being the first fourth-gen K-Pop boy group to both perform at, and sell out, the huge venue, which has a capacity of over 41,000! They filled over 90% of the total capacity of the venue, despite a considerable delay due to worrying weather complications. But those conditions only made it that much more of an iconic event, and we’re so proud of the group and ATINYs for defying the odds to put on the phenomenal show!
7. Earning their first daesang

This year’s ATINY Day was a special one! On the date — November 17, the day that the name ATINY was decided as ATEEZ’s fandom name — the K-Pop group won their first-ever daesang award at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMAs). They took home the “Grand Honor’s Choice” award, which is decided by a jury of experts and given in recognition of “outstanding musical achievements”. They also won “Best Song” at the event!
8. Releasing their first “Killing Voice” video
ATINYs have waited a long time for the members to show off their vocal prowess in a “Killing Voice” video, and this year we finally got it! Performing a variety of title tracks and beloved B-sides, ATEEZ proved once again that they’re as talented in their singing and rapping abilities as they are in dancing — and that’s saying a lot!
9. Earning the first “K-Pop Artist of the Year” award for Record Store Day

This year for Record Store Day (April 20), ATEEZ was the chosen recipient for the new “K-Pop Artist of the Year” award! Inaugurated in 2007, the day brings together music fans and musical artists by encouraging people to support record stores, and also includes limited edition vinyl records released from specific artists that are only available at certain shops. In celebration of their award, The World EP.FIN: WILL was released as an exclusive vinyl record and included two unreleased tracks as well as a random one of eight collectable PhotoTickets of each of the members.
10. Selling over three million copies of the Golden Hour series albums

ATEEZ, of course, released two albums this year — Golden Hour : Part.1 and Golden Hour : Part.2. Not only was it the start of a new era for the K-Pop group, but these albums continued their ongoing trend of surpassing the million sales mark for their latest releases! The first of the two sold around 1.8 million while their latest, released a little over a month ago, has sold about 1.7 million so far.
11. Becoming the third K-Pop artist to have multiple albums reach #1 on the “Billboard 200” chart

And with all of their album sales, ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.2 became the group’s second album to reach #1 on the prestigious “Billboard 200” chart, after The World EP.FIN: WILL became their first to do so last year! With this, they’re only the third K-Pop artist to have multiple albums reach #1 on the chart, joining BTS and Stray Kids with his accomplishment.
