November has so many connections for ATEEZ and ATINY both. Marked by the birthdays of Hongjoong, Wooyoung, and ATINY as a whole, there’s a lot of happenings during the penultimate month of the year. And as if we didn’t have enough to be thankful for, ATEEZ then dropped a new album for us to submerge ourselves into. And with the new album comes a new title track in the form of “Ice On My Teeth”, a darker beat compared to their previous promoted tracks. It blends borderline lo-fi and hip-hop percussion with classical elements and composition in an unexpectedly seamless manner to create arguably one of the catchier songs of the year. Additionally, in true ATEEZ style, we got to have some of the most jaw-droppingly stunning styles for the MV and subsequent stage performances from the group.

Quite honestly, it was hard for me to narrow down who I wanted to cover in terms of this issue of Fit Fix because each one of them just looked so immaculately styled in a way that made each member stand out. I was very tempted to write an article for Seonghwa with the almost warlord-inspired outfit and hairstyle paired with the high-heeled boots as well as Hongjoong’s opulent, old-Hollywood fit and Wooyoung’s effortlessly lavish pairing with unconventional combinations of textiles. No joke, I legitimately and unapologetically screamed into a pillow when I realized the “jacket” he was sporting in the MV was actually a Versace bathrobe. Like how inventive could you get?!?

And while I do plan to offer options for all the member-specific looks for their solo shots in later posts, I wanted to give a special spotlight to Yunho: the man who has bias-wrecked just about every ATINY this comeback with his suave, tailored suit.

As with each Fit Fix article, I’m gonna outline my guidelines:

  1. This is more about identifying the pieces of an outfit or costume and providing suggestions for items based on that and that alone. It’s neither an endorsement nor condemnation for brands, styles, or pieces.
  2. Your purchased outfit is just as valid as a thrifted or DIY outfit and vice versa, regardless of price.
  3. You’re obviously not obligated to dress up for any concert, including ATEEZ. You can come as you are and have just as much fun!

Now, let’s fix-in!

The look itself is, thankfully, fairly straightforward in terms of the elements that are fairly easy to come by when you know what to look for. The main components are going to be staples of the classic three-piece suit, named very fittingly for having a top coat, waistcoat, and trousers within the set. While there are plenty of times where mixing patterns, colors, and even fabrics can provide unique and arguably more fashionable impressions than what’s traditionally asked, the clothes we will be matching are going to be all-black with a white button-up, black shoes, a watch, and other jewelry.

Now, if it’s within your budget, you’re more than welcome to look at going to a men’s formalwear store and getting the entire set all at once. This absolutely guarantees that you get the full three-piece and can look into a more satiny or more matte finish depending on your preference. It also comes at the cost of higher…well, cost. Depending on the retailer and manufacturer, three-piece sets can run between $100 – $1,000+ without even getting into the concept of made-to-wear or bespoken customization, which could double your costs to make sure that the suit fits well to you or is completely fitted to you and you alone. Since this is going to be the most expensive option, I’d only recommend this if you have the funds to commit to it and that you intend to wear this suit more than once in order to get your money’s worth.

Looking over the outfit that Yunho is wearing, while the color in the MV reads as a black, other photoshoots and video recorded for short-form content puts the color into the charcoal-tones instead of a straight black. It even looks as though the waistcoat is a shade or so lighter than the pants in a few of the shots without the jacket, which lends credence to the options of mixing and matching your pieces. It also appears to be a finer fabric type than tweed or other coarser material, though it’s possible that it might be a wool blend. If you are wanting to have a full-set, you could look into the Braveman Premium Slim Fit suit, which is available through several vendors including Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, and Nordstrom Rack (the latter of which shows available online for as low as $169.97) or something from a men’s formalwear store like the Grooms Club Charcoal Suit Black Tie three-piece suit for $199.99. Other outlets like Bonobos can be a bit of a splurge, with the Jetsetter Wool Suit being a solid option. However, it would require you buying a waistcoat separately and that may lead to off-fits compared to the pants and jacket. This particular suit would set you back about $625, but when paired with the Slim Fit Suit Vest from H&M ($34.99) in the color Dark Gray really comes together.

Obviously, we will need to add on a white button-up for the undershirt in addition to a black, satiny tie. I might be personally biased towards the brand Wildfang, but they have a lot of really great options for both more casual and professional outfits if you’re able to purchase from them. They currently have a long-sleeved Oxford button-up for about $47 through Black Friday, though afterward it’ll be about $94. However, you can still definitely get a button-up for cheaper through sites like Amazon, Shein, Cider, H&M, and plenty of other retailers. Additionally, a lot of the same places that you can purchase suit items in will also have button-ups.

Ties will probably be one of the easiest things to find on the list here, as just about any outlet shop selling men’s clothes will have some form of ties. However, upon closer inspection of the tie, there are small, purple paisley detailing to the body, though due to the darkness of the MV it’s a more minor detail comparatively. If you can happen on something similar with the minute detailing, that will give you a more faithful recreation. Since we want a bit more of a sheen to the tie, you’ll want to scope out a more satiny finish, such as with silk blends. I noted 2 in particular, one being the Egara slim tie from Men’s Warehouse that will set you back about $26 and the other being the Men’s Solid Satin Tie from Tie Bar for $22.40.

There generally aren’t a lot of great shots that include detailing for the shoes, though based on the general feel of the outfit it’s very likely that a pair of standard, semi-sheened dress shoes would be what we’d look for. You could look at Steve Madden for a bit on the more brand-name appeal for the dressed-up look, as some retailers sell shoes for $79.99 through DSW or Calvin Klein’s for $70. For more of a budget, you could get the Apt. 9 Denver shoes at Kohl’s for $33.99.

Accessories are where we get a bit nuanced. Granted, the glasses that are tucked away in the lapel pocket of the jacket are likely just a lensless pair, which you can find plenty of through online vendors like Amazon for around $10. For another option, you can look at the Bridinry black square frames on Sllac, which is a bit pricier at $26.92 but allows an alternative to Amazon and the variable grade in quality that some of the accessories offers there. The rings are tough, as there are technically 3 silver or sterling silver knuckle rings that are simple, but a little on the thicker side, however even getting 2 would work well. Normally this wouldn’t be a particular issue, though Yunho’s are set on his index finger, which generally are going to be one of the thicker fingers for the average person. If you wear a size 8 ring, you could potentially end up getting the Double Pointed Knuckle Ring from Alibi NYC for about $144. However, you can also make a similar effect of the double-ring combo with the YADOCA set off Amazon for about $11.99 for 12 pieces and pair a couple of them for the thicker main ring to the pointed top ring.

Lastly would be the watch. Now, for anyone who isn’t aware, watches are almost always on the pricier side. With cellphones being the more modern way to get the time, watches serve even more of an ornamental role for the wearer than before and, as a result, are a luxury item that tends to reflect in cost. Depending on the maker and the detailing, watches could easily run into the multi-thousand dollar range. However, there are still plenty that run on the lower end. For this particular look, we want to look at a circular-faced, black and silver watch with a white face. It might just be the fact that my vision isn’t great, but that thankfully allows us to not be super picky about the type of dial for the watch, so we can get something as low as $19.99 with the eYotto Men’s Minimalist Watch on Amazon. However, for a bit more, you can opt towards the Oversized Hadyn Pavé Silver Tone watch by Michael Kors. Normally it costs upwards of $225, but at the time of writing this it’s dropped down to $96.75.

Despite the general simplicity of the traditional men’s suit, there are a lot of fine-tuned details that go into the look as a whole that creates the timeless charm that Yunho constantly embodies. While elements of the piece can be thrifted or bought for fairly inexpensive costs, extra funds may be required for the proper tailoring to help make the outfit work depending on if you want a more masculine or feminine fit towards the overall look. Depending on the choice made, it will create a different draping to accommodate for any curves you’d want to accentuate or otherwise minimize.

All in all, this was a really impressive fit to try to figure out. Despite the pieces seeming very plain compared to some of the more stylized outfits from previous comebacks, the effortless style really is one of the hardest to really replicate well. However, I think these can at least give a starting point for items to look for or potential outlets to search in to find the pieces.

Like always, until next time ATINY!
