Though we’ve only seen two of the three different versions of ATEEZ’s teaser photos for their upcoming Golden Hour : Part.2 album so far, we’ve already been blown away by just how stunning and ethereal they look.

Not only are the members alone just a delight to look at, but the clothing, accessories, and settings that they’ve been placed in also accentuate their already stunning visuals beautifully!

Some of the accessories on the members are particularly eye-catching, including the “armor” pieces found on San and Jongho in the first set of images.

It was revealed that these pieces were made by talented artist Tomoya Nakagawa!

Best-known for his nail art, Tomoya’s work is a blend of beautiful organic shapes paired with futuristic materials and colors, unmistakable for anyone else’s designs. From sharp, metallic claws to elegant swirls that resemble jellyfish or other aquatic life, the Japanese artist’s pieces are anything but ordinary.

In an interview with Metal Magazine, Tomoya gave some insight into his personal history, creative process, and other aspects of his work. While he worked in the past (and even still currently) as a fisherman, a former manicurist boyfriend of his in New York inspired him to start doing nail art during the COVID pandemic. He learned about the 3D nail-making process through YouTube and other sites, with his inspiration heavily inspired by nature through his other hobbies, including scuba diving, skiing, and mountain climbing.

He shared that he doesn’t create his art with any certain reactions from viewers in mind, and simply enjoys his work and welcomes any feedback, positive or negative. In a separate interview with Check-Out Magazine, when asked what his most difficult look was, he revealed that none of them have been challenging for him!

And when asked what’s most important to him between fashion and function? His answer: “I want clothes to be functional but my nails to be totally opposite!”

ATEEZ is just the most recent K-Pop artists that Tomoya has worked with — other well-known names in the industry that he’s created pieces for include IVE, XG, LE SSERAFIM, and SEVENTEEN, to name just a few. His Instagram account is full of stunning pictures of his fascinating work!

Outside of the K-Pop industry, he’s also served clients including Balmain, MAC Cosmetics, Marie Claire Korea, and NIKE, to show just how impressive his roster is.

His creativity and unique style look phenomenal on the models that are the ATEEZ members, and we’d love to see more collaborations between the two in the future!
