This October, ATEEZ will be celebrating their seventh anniversary since they first debuted in the K-Pop industry. Seven years is a long time for any K-Pop group to continue to be active, let alone to be as active and successful as the group still is to this day!

What makes their story all the more inspiring is knowing where they started, debuting in a small, relatively unknown company with little more than their dreams and passion supporting them. It may be hard to believe now, considering they have become globally successful and beloved by millions of fans, selling out tour venues in numerous countries and getting recognition from major publications for their phenomenal performance abilities. But there was a time when the eight members were full of anxious excitement and uncertainty over their future, wondering if they would be able to reach the goals they set for themselves.

It’s safe to say that they have not only reached but surpassed many of those dreams they had as rookies, performing on some of the world’s biggest stages and inspiring millions of ATINYs with their music and artistry. But it can be nostalgic and sweet to look back on the early days of their careers to see just how far they’ve come, and one such video is the first anniversary interview they released on October 24, 2019.

In the video, each member watches a clip from themselves a year in the past when the group debuted and reacts to what they said to their future selves. Starting with the youngest member Jongho and moving progressively through to Hongjoong, it’s endearing to see how they grew in that first year being an idol and compare it to how much they’ve grown in the past nearly seven years!
