If you’re a newer or more casual fan of ATEEZ, you might not be familiar with all of their earlier discography. In fact, you might not be aware that the group has a pre-debut song, “From”, which is a CD-only track included on their second EP, TREASURE EP.2: Zero To One.

There is a way to enjoy the song apart from owning this early album of theirs, though, and that’s through a pre-debut music video that was shared in July 2018! Filmed and released months before the group made their debut on October 24, 2018, the video gives us a sweet glimpse of how the members looked and performed during their later trainee days. The “From” music video actually includes a ninth person, Lee Junyoung, who was a part of the KQ Fellaz trainee line-up but didn’t end up actually debuting with the group.

At this time, Seonghwa would have been 20, Hongjoong, Yunho and Yeosang would have been 19, San, Mingi, and Wooyoung would have been 18, and maknae Jongho would have been just 17. Despite his young age, Hongjoong actually composed and produced “From”, which is a light, airy, and upbeat song that is a delight to listen to.

It’s amazing to think about the growth that they’ve all made in the last six and a half years, from such promising beginnings to the international legends that they are today!
