Let’s take a look back at what ATEEZ was up to during September!

“Royal” Collab

The start of September saw the release of ATEEZ’s second collab with J-Pop group BE:FIRST with the song “Royal”. “Royal” delivers a powerful and cinematic sound, with dominating lyrics. Mingi was credited as the author, composer, associated performer, vocals, recording arranger, background vocalist, guitar, bass, drums, and programming. which is a lot! BE:FIRST has seven members. Combined with ATEEZ’s eight members, that makes 15 artists he had to arrange and assign parts for. Not to mention everything else he did to make this track what it is. While there wasn’t a music video released for this song, there is a lyric video.

Fashion Month

September might as well have been named Fashion Month for ATEEZ and ATINY with all of the fashion show appearances and magazine photoshoots released this month.

On September 5, Mingi attended the pushBUTTON 2025 Collection Show for Seoul Fashion Week, which we only found out about after the event was over.

Yunho attended his first fashion show at Seoul Fashion Week. He was invited to Kwak Hyun Joo’s Look At the Tread fashion show on September 7. He looked elegant and comfortable wearing the designer’s clothing to the event.

San was next, attending his second Dolce&Gabbana event, this time at Milan Fashion Week. He wore a princely all-white outfit. Later in the day, he attended the after-party, where he wore a sultry all-black outfit. At the after-party dinner, he was able to meet with several notable celebrities including Madonna, who later followed ATEEZ on Instagram.

Wooyoung was invited to attend the Courrèges event on September 25 for their Paris Fashion Week show. He sported an effortlessly cool, all-denim look, with his hair slicked back. He exuded a fascinating aura that drew a lot of attention.

Hongjoong attended his 3rd Balmain event at Paris Fashion Week later that same day. He wore a striking black outfit with bold gold strokes that said ‘Love’ on the front. He was also invited to the Balmain Beauty launch party after the main event.

Due to Waterbomb LA being canceled, the members were suddenly free to take on more fashion show opportunities at the end of September.

Hongjoong went to another fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. He attended Vivienne Westwood’s show, where he wore a kitschy outfit consisting of a dotted white blouse, lace-up jeans, a dark blue coat, a large blue hat, and a string of pearls. He was seen with Cardi B and Hayley Williams of Paramore.

Seonghwa attended the Isabel Marant show at Paris Fashion Week on September 29. He wore a belted brown wrap dress, with kitten heeled boots. He wore his hair down and a gold necklace. LeisureByte wrote, “The future of fashion is fluid, and Seonghwa’s leading the charge!”

Something to note: In all of their fashion show appearances, the members chose to wear their team ring, even if it didn’t necessarily go with the outfit itself. Just something really wholesome to see.

ATEEZ’s fashion month didn’t end with just fashion shows. They were also in multiple magazines. San had a 12-page spread in the Fall Winter 2024 issue of 10Magazine, decked out in Dolce&Gabbana. Hongjoong was on the cover of Zipper magazine with 90’s Harajuku fashion on display. We saw a sneak peak of Mingi’s Marie Claire Korea feature which will be released in October. All of ATEEZ was featured in Numero Tokyo’s November Issue.

Busking Show

Hongjoong and Jongho spent close to two weeks in Germany as part of KBS’s new show called I Am A Singer that features Korean artists busking in foreign countries. Lots of ATINYs and locals were able to see them perform on the streets of Munich, Germany. They were also joined by Korean artists Suzy, Henry, Sohyang, and Sunwoo Junga. The show is set to air at the beginning of November.

Europe Tour Dates

The tour dates for Towards the Light: Will to Power’s Europe leg was announced, with 12 dates in total in nine different countries. Most notably, they’ll be the first Korean acts to perform in some of these venues, including Paris La Défense Arena in France, which has a capacity of 40k.

“Birthday”

How fitting that for ATEEZ’s birthday month, they release a song called “Birthday”? The Japanese track “Birthday” was released October 2. The song was accompanied by a music video that featured intriguing visuals and a whimsical aura.

On the Birthday album, they also released a wonderful ballad called “Forevermore”, which is over four minutes long. Both Wooyoung and Yeosang’s beautiful voices are featured more than usual in this track, which feels like a good sign. Hopefully it’s the beginning of a trend that continues into the next Korean comeback.

ATEEZ Present

On October 3, Yunho released an original song called “Be Alright” which was written and composed by him and Hongjoong along with Balm and a few others. It’s a beautiful song that, personally, made me tear up at 6am. It seems it’s only released on YouTube, with a hauntingly beautiful lyric video, and doesn’t seem to be available on streaming sites, just like Hongjoong and Mingi’s solo work.

Hongjoong later confirmed on a livestream that this is the start of the project that he spoke about months ago. He stated that it will be done if and when the members want to do it. He elaborated that he’s already working with two of the members on the next songs.

More Variety

Recently, ATEEZ members have appeared on a few variety shows even though they’re not currently promoting anything. Hongjoong, Yunho, and Wooyoung all went on multiple YouTube variety shows this month. This was a marked difference that ATINYs took notice of. It feels as though ATEEZ is getting more invitations to shows even though they’re between comebacks.

Best OST

Jongho is up for an award at the 2024 Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMAs)! “A Day” from the K-Drama Lovely Runner is nominated for Best OST. ATEEZ will be attending this award show, so it would mean a great deal if he were to win. Tinytown News has a voting guide you can check out if you’d like to help make this happen.

Coming Up

Let’s see what’s in store for ATEEZ in October!

ATEEZ is set to perform in two different countries this weekend. They’ll be performing in Indonesia at the City Camp Music Festival on October 5, and then immediately flying to Thailand to perform at Kpop Masterz the next day in Bangkok. Jongho’s birthday is October 12. The World: To The End DVD set releases October 22. And finally, ATEEZ’s 6th Debut Anniversary is on October 24.
