A few weeks before ATEEZ debuted, they released a performance video of half of the group — San, Wooyoung, Yunho, and Mingi — covering a variety of other K-Pop artists’ dances. San and Wooyoung were dubbed the “sexy” cover duo, while Yunho and Mingi were the “power” cover duo.

In the video, they each covered three different artists — BTS, NCT, and Wanna One. For the first set, San and Wooyoung covered BTS’s “Fake Love” while Yunho and Mingi covered “Idol”. And even as baby rookies, it was clear back then that the members were destined to be phenomenal performers based on their skills as trainees!

The next set was NCT dances, with the “sexy” duo performing “Baby Don’t Stop” while the “power” duo performed “Boss”. It’s entertaining to watch the people around them as they’re performing, since they all seem to be catching a lot of attention from locals with their dancing prowess.

Finally, the two duos covered Wanna One as their last set, with San and Wooyoung performing “Energetic” and Yunho and Mingi performing “Burn It Up”.

The video is a great example, too, of just how far the members have come as performers. Even though they were already promising back then, they’ve all definitely made huge improvements as well, not only in their abilities, but their confidence too! Not to mention, they all look so young in the video, and it’s endearing to see how much they’ve grown.

You can watch the entire video below! It was released nearly six years ago in October 2018.
