More often than not, the siblings of K-Pop idols tend to live quieter and less public lives than their famous relatives, and the brothers and sisters of ATEEZ’s siblings are no exception. And while, as fans, it’s only right for us to give their siblings the privacy they want and deserve, we’ve also been fortunate enough to get glimpses of the ATEEZ members’ family lives with their consent. Here’s what we know about the nine siblings of ATEEZ’s members, based on what the members have shared themselves.
Hongjoong
Interestingly, Hongjoong and Seonghwa, the oldest members of ATEEZ, are also two of three members that have just one older brother. Hongjoong’s sibling’s name is Bumjoong, and musical talent clearly runs in the family, because Bumjoong is a contemporary dancer! In fact, apparently this skill inspired Hongjoong to try out contemporary dance himself, and when he did, he said that it helped his posture. Bumjoong is also an actor.
Over the years, we’ve gotten to know Bumjoong a little better as he’s opened up more about being Hongjoong’s brother, even sharing his life through YouTube videos. He has made his own fans from ATINYs, which is well-deserved!
Hongjoong has also shared pictures of the two of them when they were young, and they’re absolutely adorable.
You can follow Bumjoong on his Instagram, which is public. His birthday was also just a few days ago, and he was born in 1995, so he’s 29, making him three years older than Hongjoong!
Seonghwa
As stated, Seonghwa also has an older brother, and though he’s the oldest member of ATEEZ, it’s interesting to see how growing up as the younger sibling has made him not always act like the oldest in the K-Pop group! There isn’t really information that has been made public about his older brother, though he has shared that he’s a teacher, and that even though they weren’t close when they were younger, they are now. He was also born in 1995, making him three years older than Seonghwa.
There are also some adorable pictures of the two of them when they were younger that have been shared.
Yunho
Yunho often gives off a sort of big brother-like energy, and there’s a reason for that: He has a younger brother! His name is Gunho, and he was born in 2003, making him four years younger than Yunho. Besides this, not much has been shared about Yunho’s younger sibling apart from some censored pictures and short audio clips, and apparently tallness runs in the family!
Yeosang
Yeosang is one of only two members that has a sister, and she’s older than him! She seems to have private life, since her name isn’t known, nor how much older she is than Yeosang. One somewhat related fact about Yeosang, though, is that he was chosen the most as the member that others in ATEEZ would introduce their younger sister to if they had one!
San
San is the other member of ATEEZ with a sister, and she’s older than him as well. Her name is Haneul, which means “sky”, and along with San’s name, which means “mountain”, their parents clearly like beautiful, nature-inspired names! She was born in 1995, making her four years older than San. Despite the age difference, the two seem to share a close bond based on what San has shared about their relationship, and he’s very protective of her as her little brother!
Mingi
Mingi also has an older brother, and not much has been said about him to the public! Like several other ATEEZ siblings, he was born in 1995, making him four years older than Mingi. Mingi also gave him a funny shoutout back when ATEEZ had first debuted.
Wooyoung
Wooyoung is the only member of ATEEZ that has more than one sibling: Both an older and a younger brother! Not a whole lot is known about his older brother apart from his name (Dongyeong) and birth year (1997), but Wooyoung has shared his Instagram account, which you can follow!
He’s two years older than Wooyoung, and though he seems to be a bit camera shy, he’s clearly supportive of and loves his siblings.
Wooyoung’s younger brother, born just nine years ago in 2015, is named Kyungmin! Wooyoung has shared a lot of pictures and videos of his younger brother, who he clearly adores.
Kyungmin is also very proud of Wooyoung, and reportedly brags about his older brother being a K-Pop idol at school, which is absolutely adorable. Apparently they are also pretty similar in personality, according to the other members of ATEEZ!
It sounds like Kyungmin might want to follow in Wooyoung’s footsteps to be an idol someday himself!
Jongho
And finally, Jongho is often praised for his mature personality despite being the maknae of ATEEZ, but his family dynamic shows why: He has a younger brother! His name isn’t known but he was born in 2003, making him three years younger than Jongho. Jongho has also shared that his brother is great at archery, and that his parents are athletes, so it seems physical prowess runs in the family!
We appreciate getting the opportunity to know more about ATEEZ’s families when they feel comfortable sharing with us, but we never want to cross personal boundaries, especially for those that choose to remain more private!
