On this week’s episode of Throwback Thursday, we take a look at a hello82 collaboration with ATEEZ from late 2019, about a year into the group’s K-Pop career!

The video, called “Are ATEEZ’s members actually skilled sword fighters?”, features a hilarious activity in which the members “fight” each other with inflatable swords while blindfolded in order to see which member comes out on top. It starts out with each member getting a unique blindfold based on an adjective and respective animal based on the adjectives the members chose. They ranged from San’s “Piercing Tiger” and Seonghwa’s “Dynamic Dragon” to Wooyoung’s… “Critical Ladybug”.

The members then pair up against each other, with the winners moving on to the next round to fight other winners. The first round, Hongjoong is paired against Mingi, Jongho (“the strongest”) is paired against San (“the fastest”), Seonghwa is paired against Yeosang, and Yunho is paired against Wooyoung. We won’t share the winners here, since the video is worth watching for its hilarity to see who wins and how they “fight”! There’s one particular pairing that ends up with an unexpected twist, and it’s by far the most-watched part of the video.

Near the end of the video, Wooyoung and Mingi are tasked with taking on Jongho by themselves, since the strong maknae was the one that no member wanted to be paired against originally!
