As most ATEEZ fans have probably heard by now, the K-Pop group is once again collaborating with Japanese boy group BE:FIRST for the upcoming digital release “Royal”.

This follows their first collaboration with the seven-member group, “HUSH-HUSH”, which was released on July 1 earlier this year.

“Royal” is set to come out on September 4, and in the days leading up to its release, new information has been shared regarding the creation of the song. It turns out that Hongjoong and Mingi are credited for the song, with both members taking part in the lyrics while Mingi also helped with composing and arranging it.

If you’re curious or unfamiliar with the difference between composing and arranging, composing is the process of creating a brand new and original musical piece, while arranging is the process of taking said original piece and giving it structure, which includes scoring harmonies and determining instrumentations for different parts of the song, among other things.

In short, it takes a talented musician to write lyrics as well as compose and arrange a song, so it just goes to show how skilled Hongjoong and Mingi are in this field!

Of course, this isn’t the first time both ATEEZ members have been credited in the group’s songs, as well as songs for other artists. Hongjoong and Mingi both have over 100 songs credited to them through KOMCA, including both ATEEZ songs as well as songs by other artists such as xikers.

ATINYs are reacting with pride and admiration for their latest musical credits, as they deserve!

One thing is for certain, “Royal” is going to be a hit!
