On June 23 this year, ATEEZ made history as the first K-Pop act to headline the giant Moroccan international music festival Mawazine. Started in 2001, the festival has previously seen names like The Weeknd, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston on their stage, adding ATEEZ to an impressive list of stars.
Of course, this was also shortly after ATEEZ became the first K-Pop boy group to perform at Coachella in April, showing just how much the members are beloved among international audiences. They’ll also be performing at the Summer Sonic event in Japan this weekend, appearing in Osaka on August 17 and Tokyo on August 18.

These opportunities are definitely offered to the K-Pop group due to their incredible music, talent, and charisma. However, there is also gratitude that needs to be shared with dedicated ATINYs who have helped them get to perform at places like Mawazine, because without the demand for ATEEZ to come to places like Morocco — a country with tons of K-Pop fans, but not many opportunities to see them live — performances like this wouldn’t have happened.

Using the fan-driven global touring platform Toorly, ATINYs were able to show their interest in having ATEEZ perform in Morocco, and they’re continuing to use it to try and bring the K-Pop group to other locations, too. For example, right now there is a push to get ATEEZ to perform at Donauinselfest 2025, which takes place on an island in Vienna and is the largest (free) open-air music festival in Europe.
The Toorly page for ATEEZ includes many other cities being requested for the group to visit, including locations in South Africa, Venezuela, Italy, India, Columbia, and many others. You can check out, and vote on, the locations here.
We’re sure that ATEEZ’s members are grateful to their fans for helping them get to such huge stages like Coachella and Mawazine, and between the K-Pop group’s popularity and ATINYs’ support, we can probably get them to continue to make “firsts” for K-Pop around the world!
