Earlier today, YouTube account STEEZY uploaded a video where two professional dancers — Clay Boonthanakit and Alec Albright — reacted to ATEEZ’s “WORK” dance practice!
Alec actually had the opportunity to perform with ATEEZ at Coachella as one of their backup dancers, and shared how excited he was to work with them and how the members are “awesome guys”.
The entire review shows how much Clay and Alec respect and admire ATEEZ’s work as dancers, praising their “huge amount of groovy essence” and how, even though each member has their own style of performance, they’re able to stand out individually while also staying synced with the whole group.
“They all have individual styles and… The ability to really juice those out and provide their own performance within the moves speaks to a level of expertise and sophistication in their movement.”
– Clay Boonthanakit

Later in the video, they also discuss how ATEEZ is one of the most “co-supportive” K-Pop groups they know of, talking about how the members hype each other up when they’re on the sides of the stage or during transitions. The bond and friendship that the members share is something that ATINYs love, and it’s awesome to hear professional dancers recognize that about them!
We also learn about some of the choreographers behind the dance, which include Johnny Blaze, as well as San himself working particularly on the ending break, which was a point of pride for ATEEZ with this comeback!
The praise is plentiful in the review, both for the group as a whole as well as for individual members. Alec gushes over Mingi during a particularly impressive part of the dance, which they praise him for his engagement. He talks about how pure and engaged Mingi is as a performer, being a “killer” on stage yet also a “super nice” person off stage.
ATINYs are having the proudest reactions to so much well-deserved praise aimed at Mingi.
