After ATEEZ’s concert on August 8 in Toronto, one picture of Mingi caught many fans’ attention for what at first isn’t an obvious reason. The picture shows the deep-voiced rapper and Yeosang jumping giddily together, and that alone endeared many ATINYs’ hearts.

Eagle-eyed fans, however, noticed something unexpected on Mingi’s hip — there’s what appears to be some kind of marking on the exposed area, which led to speculations that he may have gotten a tattoo.

Considering that Hongjoong, Wooyoung, and San all have tattoos already, it was exciting to think that another member of ATEEZ might be added to that group!

However, it appears that what fans spotted on Mingi might not actually be a tattoo. Looking closely, the letters “KT” seem to be visible on Mingi’s hip, which is a brand of sports tape used for injuries.

Considering that Mingi has dealt with back pain and injuries in the past, it sadly wouldn’t be surprising if he was using sports tape for support. If this is indeed what he was wearing, we hope that he’s able to get proper rest soon and let his back heal from all of the stress the recent touring has put on his body!
